Early Cascade Tomato Great early tomato produces clusters of bright red 4 oz. fruit. Early Cascade is similar to First Lady but maybe a few days earlier. Strong plant continues to produce for a long time. Works well for planting early and tent cover or use "wall-o water" for extra early tomatoes. 50 days, indeterminate.
This variety has been discontinued by the seed companies. There is NO F-1 seed available any more. This is F-3 seed that I have saved and is very much like the original.
All packs of tomato seeds are weighed to 0.1 gm and contain aprox. 25 - 40 seeds, about double a store pack.
Get your seeds EARLY. Tomatoes need to be started 4-6 weeks before you want to plant them out.
I DO save some tomato varieties myself. Whether purchased or my own, this is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In the spring we sell plants for at least 75 varieties of tomatoes at the Farmer's Markets. We also plant out a good selection of the varieties for fresh tomatoes later at the markets. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow.
