Bellstar Roma tomato A large plum-roma type. Best mid-early canning type for home gardens. Somewhat larger than standard romas. Easy harvesting and processing. Good fresh flavor too for salads. Compact plant, 70 days, determinate.
All packs of tomato seeds are weighed to 0.1 gm and contain aprox. 25 - 40 seeds, about double a store pack.
Get your seeds EARLY. Tomatoes need to be started 4-6 weeks before you want to plant them out.
I DO save some tomato varieties myself. Whether purchased or my own, this is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In the spring we sell plants for at least 75 varieties of tomatoes at the Farmer's Markets. We also plant out a good selection of the varieties for fresh tomatoes later at the markets. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow.
